- $17.15-17.50 hourly rate (student 3 hourly rate with differentials)

- SRRC Spring Formation In-person Training (Spring Quarter 2026 - Fridays 2-4 PM PT)
- SRRC All Staff Formation (September 14th-18th, 2026, in-person, all-day training)
- Must participate in training with student and career staff throughout Fall Quarter and the academic year.
- Participate in Monthly In-service (2nd Wednesday each month from 6-8pm), and weekly staff meetings (during the academic year)
- Supported & advised by SRRC career staff & Student Directors
- All scholar staff at the SRRC are required to abide by policies and procedures set by UC Davis and written in the SRRC Staff Manual
Qualifications
- Previous experience working or volunteering with the SRRC preferred
- Awareness of, and sensitivity to, issues specific to communities represented by the SRRC
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Excellent organizational skills
- Dependable and motivated
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA
- A background check and TB test are required due to the possibility of working with minors
- Transportation may be necessary for recruitment coordinator roles. A valid driver's license is highly recommended, but not required to apply for recruitment positions as long as you have alternative travel options.

GRADUATE STUDENT POSITIONS
Co-Director for Academic Achievement & Retention /RROC Representative
The Director for Academic Achievement & Retention will have shared oversight of GAAAP with the Co-Director for Advocacy & Community Development. This co-director aims to retain graduate and professional students from historically underrepresented, educationally disadvantaged, and low-income communities. The role focuses primarily on retention programming and academic support initiatives. Responsibilities include facilitating academic support programs including the Annual Writing Retreat, writing spaces and support, and the Summer Research Award Stipend.
GAAAP Co-Director for Academic Achievement & Retention will have the tasks of:
Academic Achievement & Retention Program Assessment
- Reviewing GAAAP proposals with Community Advisor for Retention to ensure the accuracy of funding requests and alignment with SRRC values
- Evaluating academic support retention projects and progress
- Leading planning and organization of GAAAP events/activities related to the academic achievement and retention of graduate and professional students
- Working closely with Community Advisor for Retention on academic support strategies and student needs
GAAAP directors will collaboratively develop and coordinator retention programs and strategies, with primary leadership distributed as follows:
Co-Director for Academic Achievement & Retention takes primary leadership on:
- Academic Excellence: Supporting the research and writing of fellow graduate students by hosting writing spaces, including the annual weekend Writing Retreat; working with Graduate Studies, organizations, and departments to address any issues that may be impacting the academic success of students within the community
- Mentorship: Facilitating space for graduate students to connect with undergraduate students by collaborating with the Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator; sharing resources for graduate students to find mentors with faculty and staff on campus
- Life After College Success: Sharing resources for post-graduate school success; maintaining and updating the Post-Graduate School Toolkit
Shared responsibilities include:
- Co-facilitating GAAAP Staff meetings
- Providing Budget oversight and end-of-year report
- Providing holistic support, peer-supervision & programmatic guidance for Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator (undergraduate position)
- Serving as core members of the SRRC’s Retention Committee (with rotating attendance as needed to balance workload) and the Graduate Ally Coalition
- Attending weekly meetings with SRRC Career Staff and Student Director meetings
- RROC Representation
The two Co-Directors will collaboratively decide which director will serve as the voting RROC representative for GAAAP, with an understanding that both may attend RROC meetings and both contribute to advocacy on the board
The Recruitment and Retention Organizing Committee (RROC) is the decision-making body of the Student Recruitment & Retention Center. As a RROC representative, the Student Director forms part of this governing board and holds voting privileges. RROC has oversight for all SRRC finances, SRRC operations and recruitment/retention initiatives. Furthermore, RROC provides advocacy surrounding issues of educational equity.
A RROC representative will be responsible for:
- Promoting transparency between RROC and the SRRC staff
- Attending weekly RROC Board meetings to represent GAAAP and issues relevant to the Graduate Student of Color community
- Providing the graduate student community with updates from the RROC Board
- Allocating funding to support SRRC Initiatives
- Planning monthly staff in-service
- Maintaining and promoting a welcoming, inclusive environment for the overall SRRC
- Creating awareness to the general public of issues pertaining to your respective community
Each RROC Representative will have accompanying responsibilities for one of the follow specific RROC roles:

The Student Recruitment and Retention Center (SRRC) Grant provides funding for organizations and campus departments planning programs that support and promote outreach and retention to students of historically underrepresented, low-income, or educationally disadvantaged communities.
